Yes. JobHakken is local-first — your résumé and profile live on your machine. Nothing is uploaded to run the app. AI features run only when you trigger them, and only send the minimum needed, to a zero-retentionprovider that doesn't train on your data.
The app finds it. The extension figures it out. The desktop app aggregates roles, scores them, and tracks applications. The browser extension works on any live posting — decoding the match, flagging sponsorship, and tailoring your résumé in place.
Eligibility flags are country-aware — you pick your country on first run. We surface signals for routes like the US H-1B and the UK Skilled Workervisa, drawn from the posting text and employer history (e.g. major tech & finance employers). Always confirm role-level eligibility with the employer.
We autofill — you submit. One-click autofill drops your details and a tailored answer into the form. You always review before anything is sent. Nothing is submitted without you.
On a posting you like, JobHakken compares your résumé to the job description and suggests focused edits — surfacing missing keywords and reordering emphasis. You approve every change. Included on every paid plan — or use it on Free with your own AI key (a small managed free allowance is coming).
No — and this matters. Our job-description matchcompares your résumé to the words of a specific posting: skills, keywords, seniority. It's a tool to help you tailor.
An employer's ATS (Applicant Tracking System)is their private software with rules, filters, and human reviewers we can't see. A high match here means you've aligned well to the posting — it is not a guarantee of how any given ATS or recruiter will score you.
We're in beta right now, so every feature is free and unlocked— no key or card needed. AI comes with a small free monthly allowance out of the box; bring your own key (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, GLM, or run locally with Ollama / LM Studio) and AI runs unlimited, at your own provider's cost instead of ours. After the beta, paid plans add a bigger monthly managed-AI allowance (Plus 1,000, Pro 4,000, Max 10,000 actions, no key needed) or bring-your-own-key for a flat $7/mo. That applies once paid plans go live after the beta. Prices are set in USD; the site shows approximate ₹ and € via a static FX table for reference. You'll be able to pay monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly (longer cycles save), billed in your local currency at checkout. Right now, everything is free during the beta.
